A massive thank you goes to Karen Woodall and family and friends of June Rickwood who kindly donated to Our Dementia Choir in her memory.
June sadly passed away aged 82 after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease several years ago. June particularly loved music and clapping her hands to favourite songs. She struggled with communication as well but playing music and singing with her helped her so much and cheered her up.
In the words of Karen who watched the series Our Dementia Choir on TV, she found it so uplifting to see others with Dementia and their ability to be able to sing and remember lyrics despite memory loss. To also see so much happiness, love, and joy when they were singing, Karen was truly inspired.
