I enjoy being part of the Dementia Choir because of watching the choir come alive and how happy it makes them. Being there for them and supporting them and their carers if they need help makes me feel like I am needed.

Best bit about volunteering? Everything! I absolutely adore it. I’ve become a member of a “supporting’ family where you can almost tangibly feel the love in the room when all together. The smiles, joy, tears, laughter, knowing it’s a ‘safe place’ for everyone, but especially the hugs.
